EKITI APC ASSEMBLY ASPIRANT DONATES ICT CENTRE TO SCHOOL
NAMES FACILITY AFTER OYEBANJI
All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Assembly aspirant for Ado Constituency 1 in Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodeji Adegbite, has donated an Information and Communications Technology Centre (ICT) Centre to Mary Hill Boys' High School, Ado Ekiti.
Mr. Adegbite who sponsored the project in collaboration with a non-governmental organisation, Patent Pathways International, said the project was aimed at boosting the capacity of the students in digital education and giving them an incentive to do better in their studies.
The Assembly hopeful said the donation of the project was in support of the giant strides being recorded in the education agenda of the administration of Governor Kayode Fayemi.
The donor of the project, Mr. Adegbite, has communicated his desire to the school authorities to name the facility BAO ICT Centre in honour of the APC governorship candidate, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji.
The project which was inaugurated on Thursday, 14th April, 2022 is located in Ado Constituency 1 which Mr. Adegbite hopes to represent on the APC platform ahead of the party House of Assembly primaries.
The building was given a facelift, while laptops, workstations, teachers table, chairs and a WiFi modem were donated
Responding, the Principal, Mary Hill Boys' High School, Mr. Felix Fagbuaro, expressed happiness and thanked the politician for his gestures. He said the project will positively impact the school especially students and members of staff.
Representatives of the school's old students and the PTA were all present. They all showered praises on the politician for giving back to the community.
In same vein, Mr. Adegbite also commissioned the Solar powered lights which he has installed at Akodi Aduloju, in Idemo Quarters, Ado Ekiti
Mr. Adegbite used the opportunity of the project commissioning to explain the need for the people of Ekiti State to vote for Oyebanji for the state to witness stability, continuity and further development in the state.
In attendance at the commissioning were some leaders in Ekiti State APC, including Hon. Mike Akinleye, the APC Ado local government chairman, who led the party leadership from the local government, Hon. Kayode Oladimeji, the chair of chairmen, led the delegations of the councillors in Ado Ekiti.
Other dignitaries, were Hon. Tope Olanipekun, Hon. Kolade Ogunsakin, Francis Acuba, Ademola Adetola Papa, APC women leaders, councillors and secretaries of all the seven wards (Wards 1 to 7) in the constituency.
